Newark, NJ, June 27, 2019 – Edge, the region’s nonprofit technology partner and research and education network (REN), announced today that bestselling author and Fast Company Top 100 digital influencer, Erik Qualman, will address the theme of “Engaging and Communicating in the Digital Era” as the keynote speaker at EdgeCon 2020. EdgeCon, the region’s premier technology conference for education and the public sector, will take place on January 8-10, 2020, at Ocean Place Spa and Resort in Long Branch, NJ.
Erik Qualman has performed in over 50 countries, reaching more than 30 million people throughout the decade. His Socialnomics work has been featured everywhere from 60 Minutes to the Wall Street Journal, and has been used by the National Guard and NASA. Qualman has been voted the 2nd Most Likeable Author in the World, behind only Harry Potter’s J.K. Rowling, and his book What Happens in Vegas Stays on YouTube helped Qualman achieve recognition from Forbes and Fortune as one of the ”Top 100 Digital Influencers.” His business books are used at over 200 universities and have earned him an honorary doctorate for his groundbreaking work. Qualman was formerly a sitting professor at Harvard & MIT’s edX labs.
