Newark, NJ, March 30, 2021 – Edge, the region’s nonprofit research and education network and technology partner, has announced a partnership with Proctorio, a leader in the remote proctoring industry. Via its EdgeMarket Cooperative Pricing System, Edge has awarded a contract which will give its members the ability to efficiently and affordably engage with Proctorio’s solutions and services.

Proctorio’s proprietary software will enable Edge member organizations to more efficiently protect exams administered and degrees earned in an online setting. The solution integrates seamlessly with commonly-used Learning Management Systems (LMS), including D2L Brightspace, Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, and more, delivering a highly-configurable and scalable platform for protecting exams in alignment with member institutions’ overall educational and instructional technology strategies.

The solution provided by Proctorio also places a premium on the privacy of students. It is the first and only proctoring solution to use Zero-Knowledge Encryption, which means that only institutions can access the exam recordings collected and control who can access them.

“As education continues to move online, ensuring exam integrity is important,” said Joshua Gaul, Executive Director of EdgeLearn. “Solutions like Proctorio’s provide institutions with the tools they need to proactively protect exams, while also fitting into broader ed-tech strategy through integrations with leading LMS providers and the depth of customization provided. The ability to customize the proctoring experience to the needs of the course or even the individual exam provides faculty and instructional staff the freedom to leverage the technology to meet their specific needs.”

“Proctorio is excited to support Edge member organizations in better securing exams administered in any setting,” said Mike Olsen, Founder and CEO of Proctorio. “Through this strategic collaboration, we are protecting the credibility of degrees earned online and ensuring that the future workplace is shaped by employees who lead with integrity and fairness.”

Staffed by 100+ education experts, Proctorio was serving 2.5 million active weekly users and proctoring 250,000 exams per day by the end of 2020.
