Newark, NJ, October 17, 2023 –Dr. Forough Ghahramani, Assistant Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Sponsored Programs, Edge, will co-present two sessions during the EDUCAUSE Annual Online Conference October 18–19, 2023.

The much-anticipated EDUCAUSE Annual Conference Online commences the morning of Wednesday, October 18, 2023 with Dr. Ghahramani’s first session taking place at 10:30 am ET via a Simulive Presentation with Dr. Tabbetha Dobbins, Dean, School of Graduate Studies, Rowan University and Dr. Mira Lalovic-Hand, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Rowan University. The presentation, Advancing Cyberinfrastructure for Research at an Emerging R1 Institution, will highlight the journey Rowan took with its cyber-infrastructure strategy and implementation by understanding ongoing and emerging research and education environments and learning about the faculty and student needs in hardware, networking, and other adjacent services and technologies, such as integrated access to cloud and local resources, fast data transfer, and wireless access across multiple institutions.

At 12:30 pm ET the following afternoon, Dr. Ghahramani and John Hicks, Network Research Engineer at Internet2 will host a session titled, CaRCC RCD Capabilities Model Focused Tools. During the Simulive Presentation, they will share work being done by the RCD (research, computing, and data) Capabilities Model Focused Tools committee to help address the RCD support needs of smaller under-resourced institutions.
