Newark, NJ, November 6, 2019 – Edge, the region’s nonprofit research and education network and technology partner, has announced a new partnership with CyberHat. This partnership, negotiated through Edge’s consortium purchasing vehicle EdgeMarket, enables Edge members to access CyberHat’s solutions via a streamlined purchasing process, reducing time to implementation and quickly enabling effective protection against cybersecurity threats.
CyberHat is a leading cybersecurity company that provides CYREBRO, an elite security operation center as a service (SOCaaS). CyberHat has designed and architected CYREBRO from an offensive perspective, leveraging an intimate knowledge of hackers’ strategies to create a solution designed to monitor the most critical points of vulnerability inside an organization’s network. These insights provide the visibility needed to detect malicious activity occurring at any point across the network in real time. CYREBRO is also technology agnostic, with the ability to monitor and manage security infrastructures regardless of the tools and solutions already in place. CYREBRO includes 24×7 monitoring of network traffic by highly qualified experts, plus Digital Forensics, Incident Response, and Integrated Threat Intelligence.
Patrick Pocalyko, EVP of North American Operations at CyberHat, commented on the partnership, “Combining CYREBRO, our professional SOCaaS, with Edge’s constant drive for finding and offering new innovations for their community, is an excellent match. CYREBRO will deliver Fortune 100-level cyber threat identification and response capabilities to all of Edge’s members, at an affordable cost.”
This partnership gives education, healthcare, and government institutions access to streamlined purchasing through Edge’s Lead Agency Status. This consortium purchasing approach will ease the burden placed on member’s procurement teams and enable IT teams to quickly and effectively onboard cutting-edge security technology at a time when they need it most.
Jeremy Livingston, Edge’s AVP, Security Solutions Development & Chief Information Security Officer, added, “This new partnership with CyberHat shows our commitment to connecting Edge members with enhanced cybersecurity capabilities. Very few public sector or education organizations have the ability to build and maintain a true security operations center (SOC). By leveraging the expertise of an organization like CyberHat, our members will be able to enable their IT staff to focus on core competencies and strategic initiatives, while a team of experts actively monitors and protects their network around the clock.”
