Newark, NJ, July 20, 2021 – Edge, the region’s nonprofit research and education network and technology partner, has announced a partnership with Bayside Operations Technology, an industry leader in pathogen and infection control. Via its EdgeMarket Cooperative Pricing System, Edge has awarded a contract which will give its members the ability to efficiently and affordably engage with Bayside Operations Technology’s solutions and services.

Bayside’s technologies are field-tested and are in use today by organizations from Fortune 500 corporations to school districts and universities across the country. Solutions made available via EdgeMarket include UV-C light air purification solutions, automated temperature screening systems, and autonomous mobile robots which utilize UV-A light to disinfect spaces and surfaces. Available air purification solutions have been thoroughly tested for effectiveness against mold (which is more difficult to kill than COVID-19 and other viruses) and other pathogens, and meet the recent recommendations by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) for air filtration and cleaning.

“Making solutions offered by Bayside Operations Technology available aligns with our mission to connect members with mission-critical technologies. As higher education institutions and K-12 districts prepare to reopen their doors to students, instructors, and administrative staff in the fall, it is essential that they have access to solutions that will enable them to do so safely,” said Dr. Edward Chapel, Edge’s Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.

“Edge has been a trusted partner to the education community for decades. Bayside Operations Technology is honored to work with a fellow New Jersey-founded organization to bring its evidence-based pathogen control technology to the education community,” said Neelesh Mittal, Founder and CEO of Bayside Operations Technology.

The American Recovery Act recently made over $90 billion in funding available for the procurement of air purification technologies. Bayside Operations Technology’s availability via EdgeMarket represents the education community’s most effective, quickest, and most affordable option to onboard such technology in advance of the coming school year.
