Dr. Dawn Dunkerley

Dr. Dawn Dunkerley is the founder and CEO of Max Squared Security (Max²), where she provides executive cybersecurity leadership and virtual CISO services to organizations navigating complex security, risk, and compliance requirements. Through Max Squared, she works with Edge and its clients on cybersecurity strategy, risk assessments, governance, incident readiness, and the practical implementation of frameworks including NIST and CMMC.

Before founding Max Squared, Dawn led cybersecurity and threat-intelligence efforts supporting more than 125,000 U.S. Army personnel, civilians, and contractors. She holds a PhD in Information Systems and an MSc in Network Security and maintains certifications including CISSP, ISSAP, ISSEP, ISSMP, CSSLP, and CRISC. Her work focuses on translating complex technical and regulatory requirements into practical, defensible programs aligned with institutional and business priorities.
