Deprey will oversee NJEdge membership growth and improved event outcomes
Newark, N.J. – NJEdge announces the appointment of Brynn Deprey, Ph.D., as Associate Vice President for Marketing, Communications and Member Engagement. In this role, Deprey will head an integrated team that is responsible for growing NJEdge’s membership base beyond the mid-Atlantic region, as well as enhancing the quality and delivery of membership events.
Deprey joins NJEdge from the Connecticut Education Network (CEN) – a fiber optic network and “above net” services provider – where she served as their marketing communications manager. Deprey contributed to CEN’s significant growth in recent years, by facilitating the expansion of CEN’s user base with Connecticut’s colleges and universities, K-12 school districts, municipalities, libraries and businesses.
“We’re very excited to have Brynn direct our organization’s outreach and engagement efforts,” said NJEdge Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Edward Chapel, Ph.D. “Thanks to her academic achievements and credentials, in combination with her experience with CEN, she has an immediate understanding of our technology ecosystem and she’ll play an integral role with accelerating our membership growth across many verticals, whether it’s higher education, K-12, health care or the government sector.”
“Most importantly, we believe Brynn’s integrated role will better serve our members,” added Chapel. “She’ll help improve the insights and professional contacts gained by members participating at events, and educate them about our expanding portfolio of 21st century IT products and services.”
Deprey has a Ph.D. in business from Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge, England, and a master’s in political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
