As educators, it is more important than ever to keep our fingers on the pulse of innovation. We will explore some of these next-generation developments in technology such as interactive visualization techniques, participatory social media platforms and persistently connected mobile devices. How will these emerging tools and technologies alter the educational landscape, and how can we best utilize them to meet the growing needs of our changing student population?

Biography

Craig Kapp (M.S. The College of New Jersey) is an Adjunct Professor in the Schools of Business and Education at The College of New Jersey and has most recently served as the Assistant Director for Instructional Technology at TCNJ. He has taught a wide variety of courses, such as Authoring and Multimedia Development, Introduction to Interactive Computing and Educational Applications of Computing for School Administrators. Craig is currently a full time graduate student at the Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) at NYU. He plans to one day return to academia as a faculty member teaching in the area of Interactive Multimedia.
